O&M Organic & mineral Colour

Organic Colour Systems

With a custom-built runway, a hair fashion show devised by creative director Janelle Chaplin, and new colour line Liquid CCT – Original & Mineral stormed this year’s Hair Expo held June 11-13.

Onlookers stopped to watch the fashion show which featured four on-trend looks: redheads called ‘Ginger Dolls’, dramatic dip-dyes, smoldering black bobs with fringes and futuristic-looking conical hair shapes. Working with O&M’s artistic director Verity Griffiths and a team of top stylists from O&M-partnered salons around Australia the looks were achieved using O&M’s ammonia free colours, styling range and the new Liquid CCT demi-permanent colours to achieve a high-gloss finish to the hair.

Original & Mineral are the pioneers of CCT, Clean Colour Technology. The ammonia free colour company shot their video 'Come Clean' over two days, both in a studio and at a beach in the Royal National Park south of Sydney, and was seen for the first time at Hair Expo 2010. The stills and video reflect O&M's belief that a more natural ingredient direction doesn't mean the brand can't have a polished aesthetic. Hair throughout was by the team from Stevie English, a long time O&M salon, headed by Verity Griffiths and freelance make up artist Desiree Wise.
